Sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve been struggling with the “crud,” which is the technical term my doctor used for what I’ve been going through.
Now, I’m on to putting Christmas together at my house. I love this time of year and I’m feeling energized. My Christmas cactus is even beginning to bloom. My daughter and her family are coming to visit for ten days over Christmas and the new year. It’s always a good time with family.
I have a bit of a split personality right now. I’m trying to do Christmas and finish the revisions of my current manuscript. Also, I’m working on laying out my goals for 2019. These include my writing goals, as well as de-cluttering my house and life with things that are no longer relevant. Wonder why we only think about these important things at the end of a year, as if there’s something magical in a new year that isn’t there any of the other days of the year.
This is the year I’m seeking publication and working on my career. I began my journey as an essayist, which I truly love and want to incorporate more of that part of me into 2019. I’m planning a presentation on goal setting for my local RWA chapter, so I’ve been studying habit forming and avoiding time wasters, two critical components to setting and achieving goals.
Over the month of December, I plan on setting aside some time to rework my website, which is stale at the moment. I will launch the new website in January, so stay tuned for that.
For now, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever holiday you may choose to observe at this time of year. From our home to yours, stay healthy and enjoy the festivities!
